I am looking for a really good bruschetta recipe. I had some in a restaurant today and it was sooooo good. It was like pita bread cut into chips and they were sprinkled with something orange looking and they were crunchy and garlicy tasting, and they there was a dip that had diced tomatoes, red onions and i cant remember what else. and you spoon the tomato mix onto the pita chips. it was soo good and garlicy tasting. anyone got a recipe they care to share? Thanks. I dont want recipes that have the mix already on the pita chips though.
Thanks

I love bruschetta too! The following recipe is really easy and tastes great. Enjoy!

1 lb. Roma tomatoes, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
10 basil leaves sliced (or more depending on taste)
1 tsp Balsalmic vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper
1 loaf of crusty French bread, sliced

1) Preheat broiler to high.
2) Mix all ingredients in bowl and set aside for about 30 minutes to marinade.
3) Place pieces of sliced bread on cookie sheet and broil until toasted and crunchy.
4) Spoon ingredients on top of toasted bread and eat immediately.
