I've taken practice tests and scored extremely well in the mathematics, science and language sections. I do poorly in the one section on mechanics and levers and such though. What kind of stuff should I learn to maximize my score? I know I don't really need to improve it, but I want to for myself and because I belive putting in the extra effort might make a difference at some point. So what should I specifically learn to do well on that section? Thanks.

The only parts of the test that count towards your score are all areas of math and english. The rest of the test just tells you and the military what kinds of jobs you may be good at. If you aren't good at mechanical stuff, that's fine. Do you want to get stuck doing a job you aren't good at? NO. It will suck to spend your time doing a job you don't have real ability for or any desire to do. If you do well in the areas that matter you will be just fine in choosing a job to do. This isn't the SAT nor is it anything similar. People don't run around say 'I got a 91 on the ASVAB." Just keep studying and do the best you can do. Just by doing the preparation you are doing now, you will do way better than the average person taking the exam.

Study guides will give you a lot of SIMILAR questions that you will see on the test. Study these, and exactly how each questions works.
Purchase the Barrons study book, the Arco, and some others if you want to put that "EXTRA" effort into. Your overall asvab score will determine wheather you will be Chipping paint on the flight deck, or you'll be directing aircraft from the control towers,..... and in the best cases, working on 'high classified' nuclear stuf.

i thank you for your future service in the military
