Dermatologist recommend using poloxyl. not sure if i spelled that right. But it's kind of expensive but it works great. Just rub in on the area and let it sit for a few minutes and wash it off. that's what worked for me. i had it bad all on my arms shoulders and my chest. And it got rid of it better than the neurtogena body acne body wash did. That stuff didnt do anything besides dry out my skin. hope this helped.

heres several remedies:

one, the most effective, is to concoct a mixture of metholated spirits and peanut butter. kraft brand works best, but any will do. Home brand would be second best actually. rub this on you arms every night before you go to bed. will cause slight discomfort at first, and in some rare cases a slight burning sensation, but this is a good sign and will improve in time.
(be extremely careful around any flammable things or you will burn.)

a second, almost as effective remedy is to run a shaver across the tops of the zit, wait till blood appears and rinse it off with a mixture of lemon and salt. Repeat twice daily until scars appear.

If your spots are more like red dots everywhere you may have Keratosis Pilaris (KP). Because the process of sloughing off dead skin is slowed, surplus skin cells build up around the hair follicles. Hair can also be trapped under the debris. the follicles become inflammed causing red or brown spots. Look for products containing lactic acid, urea & glycolic acid in creams or lotions. These will help exfoliate & break down dead skin build-up. Do some research on it. KP is genetic so it can't be totally cured but it can be controlled.

If it's this time of year only, it's probably from dry skin and lack of exfoliation. If it's little red bumpy's on upper arms it's from the dry too and it's not zits, just irritated skin. Get an exfoliant for body and do it often then really heavily moisturize.

If you mean the backs of your upper arms, the same way you do the face.

If it's lots of tiny red bumps with white heads, you have keratosis pilaris, which is not curable, but you can get a lotion from your doctor.

Try Proactiv. They make products for the face as well as the body. If they do not sell it at your local mall then go to their website. My sister and friends and I swear by it. They also offer a money back guarantee so if for some reason it does not work for you they will refund your money.
