I had a similar problem and it was a result of a vitamin B deficiency. Once I started taking a vitamin B supplement (super-B complex), it went away.

There's actually a medical term for this that escapes me right now.

It's perfectly normal though. Use lotion with shea butter across your mouth several times a day and a good lip balm. Sometimes you need to keep the sores dry and balm free so that they can heal and form scabs. They can't if you're always applying moisture.

Usually a combo of that will work. And it's caused by winter weather. Just dry skin.

Go to almost any store and buy Carmex. It is a wonderful, awesome product that heals most external mouth sores to include cracked lips, cold sores, etc.

It works for me.

Hope this helps.

P.S. Note, it may burn a little at first but you will want to thank me later.

You might have dry skin (face) and your home is probably is dry. Use something like aveeno lip balm or something natural for your lips. Don't use anything that has hash flavors like cherry or mints. Make sure you use a moisturizer for your face right after you shower. Make sure you cover the sides of your lips.

Most likely just over dry lips, put some lip balm in the corners of your mouth and you should be alright in a few days if not see your doctor

Carmex is very good but plain old Vaseline will work too. If the corners are dry and cracked and don't seem to heal you might want to see a doctor, this is one symptom of niacin deficiency.

Abreva....not to imply anything....but I would always error on the side of caution! (honestly though, if there are just cuts, then you probably just had chapped lips and split the sides talking, yelling, yawning, etc...)
