No, it can takes weeks sometimes months. Don't be so caught up with the numbers. The important thing is feeling well. Those numbers can be perfect and if you aren't feeling well those numbers don't mean crap.
You didn't say whether you were hypothyroid or hyperthyroid. Either way, don't give up until you are symptom free. Learn about your condition, so you can fight for better treatment. thyroid link below if you care for some reading on the subject

No, it takes several weeks to repair thyroid function with medication and for it to show up in blood tests
