Perhaps with a holographic interface.

Because of a (highly measurable but so far symptomless) chronic health problem I had the privilege to test many different therapeutic approaches. I did this as systematic as possible by always asking a lot of questions and asking the practitioners to agree to implications or predictions.
Here are my results in brief: All knew a lot and were genuinely trying to help and also inform. But also most doctors or healers made real mistakes, also those with extremely good reputations and success rates. Many were harmless and some hard to detect but it showed me how hard it is to understand the body. Perhaps surprisingly, in my case the more tragic mistakes were from the alternative side, in one case potentially deadly.
Western practitioners were very poor in time-management (letting you wait for hours) but very good admitting when they didn't know something. The alternatives would never admit ignorance but they were always on time and would spend a lot of time with the patient.
To answer the question: If it's a dangerous or clearly defined problem and the solutions of western medicine have not yet been exhausted, I'd go with that first. After that or for harmless general complaints: whatever...

Depending on the faith healers beliefs, maybe the faith healer. Otherwise I'll take the computerized diagnostic program.

A computerized diagnostic program with a holographic interface!

A Computerized Diagnostic Program, of course!

I'd prefer a hobo with a sharp tin can to a faith healer.

Diagnostics. In a heartbeat. As long as it doesn't stop. Which it probably will when the darn computer crashes and I no longer have the opportunity to find a means of keeping my chocolate-filled body intact.

The only true faith healers are those who believe in humanity and share their love and kindness with everyone they meet to the best of their ability. It's not magic or doable only by, through, and with whatever god one believes in - it is simply done out of love, and with no rewards expected by the doer. I tell you, NH, it is absolutely amazing the ripple effect one act of kindness can have across the universe.

The problem with technology is that it is very unreliable as it cannot accurately diagnose things. Just look at voice interactive software and how often it cannot get things right. Would you want to trust that technology to diagnose a person????

I would not trust a faith healer, but I would trust God who created the faith healer!

Depends. Did a faith healer write the program, or did an MD help out?

As I have more faith in the rational processes of science than in 'faith healing', given that choice I would go with the computer, hoping that those who program it are knowledgeable and diligent about maintaining it with the latest scientifically established intelligence.

Can I choose the plain ole country doctor?

"Gonna crack my knuckles and jump for joy! I got a clean bill of health from Dr. McCoy!" ~ Adam, _Star Trek_, "The Way to Eden"

If not, I'll choose the Emergency Medical Hologram. At least it has a database of medical knowledge input by real doctors to draw upon.
