I add to scriptures like this..

Proverbs
1:22-33 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; 25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; 27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. 28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: 30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. 31 Therefore ...

Well what happens is exactly what you see here on Y!A, all the mockery and foolishness displayed by many. These are people who refuse to answer the call of God. Of course I'm only mentioning what happens at first. What happens later is an entirely different story.

Well, when Saul ignored God's calling, The Lord blinded him, and when he regained his sight, he was an entirely different person. He became the apostle Paul. The Lord will never give up on you, no matter how many times you screw up. But there is more Joy in following the Lord now, through faith, then later, through sight.

When someone might refuse to listen to you and turns away would you let them back into your world immediately or would you wait and make sure they are sincere?

We have learned this response from God. There is good reason for it. It doesn't say how long you must knock on the door for him to answer again.

The Lord doesn't just call on us once or twice. It is usually many times and we cannot refuse God forever. He eventually turns us over to a depraved mind and it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of Almighty God. If you refuse God too many times, He will eventually turn His back on you. And when God turns His back there is no help for you then.

He is always calling us and very few are listening because they are covered by His illusory energy. He is calling you now to read the original new testament and teaching of Jesus Christ The Gospel of the Nazirenes. King Constantine misconstrued so many things in the bible for his own power. If you want the original teachings of Christ before Constantine changed it go to gospelofthenazirenes.c if you are a sincere seeker of truth. He is calling you dear one.

Shouldn't God know ahead of time if I'll answer or not? Isn't that part of "omnipotence"? Or is this some type of cruel trap? God is cruel like that isn't he?

since your brain doesn't have an answering machine, He'll redial. He'll call until you unplug the phone or decide to pick up. and then if you hang up, He'll call again. He's persistant.
