In Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama is the child who can identify the property he owned in his previous life. Many instances of people remembering other lives, although that is not proof. People who have near death experiences are often quite sure there's life after death. But there's no proof of any of it. You'll just have to go through it, without knowing what to expect. Naked and alone. Exciting, I'd say. I just hope I'm awake for it.

In the Bhagavad Gita (Song of God ) Spoken By God himself Also known as Krishna- Says " What ever on contemplates at the time of death one is sure to attain" We are not this material body or mind or intellect, or senses, or job or even religion, we are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Vishnu, Jehovah, etc. We have to reconnect with our maker to attain the eternal spiritual abode. but if we don't then we may become one of the 8400,000 species of life depending on our consciousness and actions in this life. So we have to raise our consciousness to the highest platform to get reality. Other wise we could end up on one of the innumerable planets or even in hell for some time. (no one goes eternally-- only for the duration of ones very bad karma. Read Bhagavad Gita Translated by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada - tells everything one wants to know about this topic and so much more.

there is written in the bilble that, we will die phisically, unconcious, and our body will be back into ash..thats the fist death the second death would be all of the died will be rise just to punish in the lake of fire but the good people who die in serving the Lord will be rise to be able to obtain the eternal life. the second heaven which stated in the bible..the new heaven is a paradise where all of the people who sufferd hardeness dispite of many sruggle and difficulties in their life they dont give up and making God is the center of thier life..are deserving to have this award an everlasting life where they do not have hardeness,no tears,no pain..the old world will disappeard..and the paradise will come out..

Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor in the future shall any of us cease to be. As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. A sober person is not bewildered by such a change. Bhagavad-gita-2.12 & 13
Those who are seers of the truth have concluded that of the nonexistent [the material body] there is no endurance and of the eternal [the soul] there is no change. This they have concluded by studying the nature of both. That which pervades the entire body you should know to be indestructible. No one is able to destroy that imperishable soul. Bhagavad-gita-2.16 & 17
An excerpt from the purport by Purport by A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON,
(International Society for Krishna Consciousness).
There is no endurance of the changing body. That the body is changing every moment by the actions and reactions of the different cells is admitted by modern medical science; and thus growth and old age are taking place in the body. But the spirit soul exists permanently, remaining the same despite all changes of the body and the mind. That is the difference between matter and spirit. By nature, the body is ever changing, and the soul is eternal. This conclusion is established by all classes of seers of the truth, both impersonalist and personalist. In the Vishnu Purana (2.12.38) it is stated that Vishnu and His abodes all have self-illuminated spiritual existence (jyotimsii vishnur bhuvanani vishnuh). The words existent and nonexistent refer only to spirit and matter. That is the version of all seers of truth.
Lord Krishna gives further information in chapter two, verses 22 to 25,
As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones. The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind. This individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can be neither burned nor dried. He is everlasting, present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same. It is said that the soul is invisible, inconceivable and immutable. Knowing this, you should not grieve for the body.
Now regarding where one goes, Lord Krishna says the different destinations according to what they worship,
"Those who worship the demigods will take birth among the demigods; those who worship the ancestors go to the ancestors; those who worship ghosts and spirits will take birth among such beings; and those who worship Me will live with Me." Bhagavad-gita-9.25
Further, Lord Krishna says the different destinations according to what the three modes of material nature,
Those situated in the mode of goodness gradually go upward to the higher planets; those in the mode of passion live on the earthly planets; and those in the abominable mode of ignorance go down to the hellish worlds. Bhagavad-gita-14.18

Scientifically, nothing happens. You cease to be a living being and become lifeless matter.
Some will talk about a 'soul' and whatnot but that's just an invention of people who cannot come to terms with the fact that they won't be around anymore.

I have died twice: once on the operating table and recently during a stroke. Dying is actually a very good feeling. I felt a particle floating in a sea of cosmic light and it was very pleasant. I knew I was dying and I though this is not so bad and let go; but they revived me. We are all particles in the universe like tiny specs of dust floating in a tranquil sea of oblivion.

At death we are resting in the grave until judgement day.
(John 5:27-29) 27Â And he has given him authority to do judging, because Son of man he is. 28Â Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29Â and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
(Acts 24:15) 15Â and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
(Ecclesiastes 9:4-6) 4Â For as respects whoever is joined to all the living there exists confidence, because a live dog is better off than a dead lion. 5Â For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6Â Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
(Romans 6:21-23) 21Â What, then, was the fruit that YOU used to have at that time? Things of which YOU are now ashamed. For the end of those things is death. 22Â However, now, because YOU were set free from sin but became slaves to God, YOU are having YOUR fruit in the way of holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23Â For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.
