as a combat vet, with my own problems, psy has been prety inefective, but groups with other vets have kept me hopeing..

The vets who were my inspiration have never been acknowleged by my hospial , nor will they ever be...

The people who serve those of us who served are compasionate, but all are civilians, few if any vets work in the burocracy..

A vet with combat experiance, and psyc insite cannot be employed by VA without credentials, deplomas, or certificates....

I would prefer the councel of another warrior, than the counsel of a book schollar..

Aparently i am not just howeling at the moon, other vets seem dissatisfied with the profesional predudice as well..

The VA is your best shot. Who else spends any time on Combat Related PTSD. The fact that you are sick doesn't mean you can help others. What you think is help could be the worst thing for him/her.

What would the VA do after a Vet you were counselling killed himself. You have no credentials and are sick yourself.
