It has been lagging and freezing for sometime now. AVG detects virus's/ Trojans but when i go to "remove or Quartine" ot freezes. If i go into task mnager it shows that avg is "not responding" however the avg process is still using memory and cpu. I play World Of Warcraft and the game latency goes from around 126ms to 2186ms and my frames per second goes down too 1-2fps. Can anyone help me?

Okay, another problem really everytime i finish the avg/avast scan it still freezes. I am getting rather tired of scanning (it takes a hour +) and other people need the computer too. I still have the Avg active (having not wanted to waste that 2 hours that it spent scanning) howevr it wont even let me look at that window anymore. I can open new windows but once i close them they disappear off the taskbar but not the screen. Any hepl with this?

(BTW I Have Several AV AS and AM programs some better than others and avg being the best seeing as it is usally the only one that detects 5000+ infections)

You really should only have ONE Anti-Virus installed on your computer. They don't play well with each other. The more anti-spyware/malware the better but anti-virus should be just one
Sounds like you have a low memory anything less than 512mb is like computing through quick sand.
5000 infections? WOW do you have a firewall installed? If not get one, go to Download.com and search for ZoneAlarm.
when was the last time that you did a disk clean up and a disk defrag now is a good time.
Try running the scan in safe mode ( I believe its F8 when the computer is booting up before the windows screen)

Use an online scanner or another AV program like Avast!

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
