She doesn't really need one, luv....at that age, we're a hell of a lot more trouble than we're worth.

Dog lover, a boyfriend to her will be an accessory not unlike a handbag or a pair of glasses. Why not encourage other activities such as chess club, science fair, or etc. Why rush her to boyfriend, make up and begging you for a car and other teenage troubles. Why not be a little less active in her boyfriend hunt and be an observer and the person that roots for her and gives her advice on the side. At least you get to keep her and guide her a little longer. I know it is tough when they come all teary with "why does Rita have a boyfriend and you know Rita is not cuter than you little girl (could be one reason bad girl and good girl was blazed in peoples vocabulary a mother tired of hearing about girl IT.) although that is tempting to say don't just guide her to other activities.

Just because your daughter friend have a boyfriend, why does it mean she have to also? If you are a good mom you would know what's best for her. Personally, in my opinion, 13 is way too young to get one. Guys in middle school/high school really won't last that long. But if you want to find her a nice one, maybe take her places or maybe your friends have childrens that you can hook em up with.

I am a little taken back by your question here. Your daughter needs to be thinking about school, and being a kid not having a boyfriend. With your encouragement, this should be her focus at age 13.

wow, this is the first I ever heard of a mother that is looking for a 13 year old to have a boyfriend. Don't get me wrong I'm not judging you. its just odd to me, usually you would want your child to concentrate on school. but its really nice that you care how your daughter feels, but she is way to young to have a boyfriend. she needs a school education.

Your 13 year old daughter does not NEED a boyfriend. Let her grow up on her own. She is too young to be dating, regardless of what her friends are doing. You need to teach her to be an independent woman who can think for herself and is not afraid to be alone, not one that NEEDS a boyfriend.

Your 13 year old daughter does NOT need a boyfriend. She will start dating when the right guy comes along. There is nothing more embarrassing than Mom setting you up!
The earlier they start dating, the earlier they usually start doing stuff you don't want your teenager doing with boys. Just FYI.

you want your 13 year old daughter to have a boyfriend just because the other girls have one...
WOW! talk about priorities. Most moms will be thankful their daughter is not dating yet, but not you.
God forbid little Missy is behind in that department.

The last thing that you should want to be giving your 13-year old daughter. Give her a book to read,or a research paper to write or something. But most definitely don't give her a boyfriend!!!!!!!!

aaah! I'm sorry but I would absolutely HATE it if my mom set me up with a boy. OMG so embarrassing, you should leave her business alone, well that sounded better than butting out but anyways, I mean at the ae of 13, its not like this bf that she's gonna get is gonna be her husband, I mean they usually date for the thrill. Don't try and find a bf for her, give her advice, and have girl talk, give her some makeup tips have fun, ADVICE, don't GIVE BF!! you know like on a math problem, you aren't supposed to give the answer, you have to HELP. but still it is embarrasing for well.. yeah said it enuff times.

geez how weird is this? Are you a parent or a 13 yr old girl asking this question?
I just can't believe that a mother would ask this.
speechless.
The rest of the custodial world is trying to get their little girls to focus on studies, hobbies, animals...anything but boys.
