go on the internet to this site. It found it very helpful. You can specify which language to translate into. I am trying to learn arabic becasue my husband is Palestinian and I want to be able to talk to his family.

Unless you have a native speaker to help you it will be VERY difficult.

I learned Arabic. The phonetics of these two languages are very different than English and if you don't have somebody to point out the subtle differences you won't be able to do it.

e.g.; There are 3 different "K" sounds: One is the same as ours, the second is formed on the soft palate on the roof of the mouth and the third is formed way in the back of your mouth (almost in the throat.)

Long "S" and short "S",

Long "SH" and short "SH."

Along with a vowel "like the sound a camel makes."
