I know this is a weird question, but what color is a pomelo when it is underripe, ripe, and overripe?

I bought one from the grocery store because it seemed ridiculous,but i want to try it and make sure that it doesn't taste all nasty when i eat it.

A pummelo will turn yellow (like a grapefruit) when it is ripe and ready to eat.

The pomelo is green when under ripe and turns yellow when ripe. If you eat one when it's underripe it won't have quite as much juice or sugar development but you won't get sick, it might taste a little sour though.
