Constantine's conquests, Imperialism in Africa (missions? come on!), Imperialism in America (fancy way to exploit people in the name of God), Catholics vs. Protestants in Ireland, Shiites vs. Sunnies in the Middle East, Christians vs. Muslims in Africa, Jewish vs Muslims vs Christians in Israel... should I go on?

How about when they declared all the mid-wives to be witches and burned them at the stake so the doctors could have a monopoly? 16th century. How about when they arrested and confined Galileo for claiming that the earth revolved around the sun instead of the other way 'round? England and France were always using religion as reason to make war against each other too. More recently, our enemies have be declared to be evil incarnate, in an attempt to justify ignoring our own principles and enabling atrocities at Guantanamo Bay?
