You posted a question that is just asking for the people that do not like it. I have been a XP professional user since it came out. I bought a new PC with Vista Home premium. I have only had to download a couple of patches and everything runs just as good on my system as XP did. All my components work just fine with driver updates and patches. I run flatbed scanner, hp printer, usb hub, router, game controllers and even old programs and games. Vista has the capability to run programs in earlier versions of Windows just as XP did. Long story short, There will be updates, Vista is a resource hog, but I like it and will not go back to XP. One day, XP will be the old dog and Vista will be every where. All the Vista haters out there went through the same thing with XP when it was new. It is no different now. As new OS's come out, the old ones are not supported anymore. It is time for change and people do not like change.

you would be able to desire to have merely joined Yahoo! solutions in case you have in basic terms been listening to with regard to the undesirable issues these days. :) Vista is greater safeguard (rather in a application's accessability to memory and secure practices of the device records). in spite of the indisputable fact that, it is composed of plenty greater bloated, sluggish code. this suggests that it has greater hardware standards than XP. i'm unlikely to enhance from XP until i'm compelled to, and by way of then, the sixty 4 bit version of Vista will in all probability be standard. All those people who offered Vista CDs are fools because of the fact AMD & Intel are not making any 32-bit in basic terms CPUs now and that's merely no longer too long until Microsoft quite starts pushing sixty 4 bit courses. I see no element in utilising 32 bit Vista and having the laptop run slower, waste greater memory, and waste greater difficult force area in evaluation to XP -that's bloated, sluggish crap too. of direction, it might help if human beings these days actual knew a thank you to application. i've got been programming for over 25 years and if I had my way, a minimum of ninety 8% of those so-noted as programmers on the instant may well be fired, and then completely banned from the profession. maximum individuals do no longer understand that if each and all the applying (which incorporates drivers & working device) have been actual programmed effectively, it often is the equivalent of having an outstanding laptop improve.

Vista is extremely buggy because it is new, wait until service pack 1 or 2. If anyone remembers XP was worse and no software/hardware was compatible at first. New for Microsoft not to release a new OS and wait more than ONE WHOLE DAY (ANTI_VISTA FOREVER) I personally will NEVER buy Vista.

Yes, Vista is a serious issue among windows users. I personally will not upgrade to it untill they release the second service pack because all operating systems are bound to be buggy when they first come out. My suggestion Go back to Windows XP.

Nearly ALL computer professionals, myself included, do not recommend Vista, at least not for 2 years for the very problems, plus more, that you brought up. It is very, very frustrating to pay $200 or more for a CD to make your computer perform poorly. MUCH, MUCH better is to get Kubuntu, for free, at www.kubuntu.org
Im using it right now.
