Say if there is an immigration raid should the parents have plans in place for what to do with their kids if that should ever happen ?

I want add these folks leave everything to chance. When raids happen it's all about the kids and not about the laws broken

I think I understand your question. You are talking about the US citizen minors with Illegal Immigrant parents.

Most do have a backup plan. Most Illegal Immigrants with children have family legally in the United States. I've already seen the kids with Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents.

I'm guessing you saw some type of arguement about the enforcement problem.

You know, the US is a very decent place. The average American is a very kind person. The reason why we hear about things like Road Rage or Crimes of Deception against little old widows, is that they are so rare and are not typical for us. Acutally, stories of evil people enrage us.

A person coming from another country likely has witnessed a complete opposite of human behavior. Power is the most important aspect of the few and it is used and weilded daily against those who have no power. Little old ladies are beaten. Children are foced into slavery and prostitution. If you own anything, it is stolen and taken away from you.

Then, you come to the United States. This is a place where you get off with a warning for driving 5 miles over the speed limit rather than getting forced to bribe the cop who pulled you over. Or you have some group of enraged citizens putting pressure on the company you worked for in an attempt to protect your retirement pension. Or you have the Right to own a firearm. Or you get to bail yourself out of jail. Or you actually "own" the land you buy. I can go on and on.

So, if you are an illegal immigrant who was exposed to attrocities, then in the US you see nothing but decency, of course you are going to be suprised that anyone would break up your family for something as trivial as tresspassing!

How come when you read the articles about the families being broken apart by the deportation of a parent and how many of these children are born here and so are considered US citizens, how come they don't also mention the fact that the illegal parent has the right to take their children with them when they are deported? If their families are being broken up, that is their own fault, not the fault of the USA!

And, yes, it would be wise for illegals to think of an emergency plan in case of deportation and I am pretty sure that most, if not all, of them do have plans for this possibility, but they won't say that in the news coverage, of course, because they wouldn't be able to jerk as many tears out of readers if they told that, would they?

I think everyone should have a plan like that. And not just illegals. I mean i don't know if your married or even if u have kids. But what if you were walking out one day and happened to get caught in a drive by shooting or had a bad car wreck. Shouldn't u also have a plan on who should take care of your kids if something happens to you? Great idea! every parent should have a "in case of an emergency/death of parents/deportation kids should go to........."

What would have been wise is to not come over here anyway but legally. But, the US has been so slack enforcing the law, the illegals figure their changes are slim to none they will be caught and sent back. And they are right, no one is doing a whole lot about it. Then if something does happen and a few get deported, the do gooders come out and start screaming, "how dare we do this to the children."
That's exactly what the illegals were hoping for.
My opinion is, send the do gooders back to Mexico with them, they are no more then traders to this country. When are SS is gone and no more money left for schools and hospitals, the working tax payers being taxed to death to pay for all this, lets see what the do gooders think then. I'm not sure they have a brain to think with.

Safety plan? Hell no, there should be only 1 plan - send the kids back with them. The "born on American soil" rule for citizenship should only apply when at least one of the parents is a citizen in good legal standing.

United States birth as a qualification for citizenship must be placed in context. In a society as mobile as the one we have today with so many transient populations, the fact that someone happens to be in the US when they give birth doesn't mean they live or even belong here. Two hundred years ago, when you gave birth in the US, there was a good chance you were living and working to make a valuable contribution to this country. The founders and early lawmakers NEVER could have envisioned the invasion we are under today.

And lowering the cost of landscaping is NOT a "valuable contribution" if that's all you do. It's not enough to offset the huge healthcare and educational costs that illegals are burdening us with, and they're not even paying a cent in taxes.

There is nothing wise about bringing your child along for the ride with you during your crime spree whether it's running drugs, robbing banks, prostitution, or illegal entry into another country. It's way too much to expect even marginal execution of wisdom from people who foolishly break the laws and risk going to jail with their children in tow. All the more reason to deport expeditiously.

I should certainly hope so! And many apparently do, as the news article said few children go into foster care.

But I do hope this does not become a way to keep them here.

I feel for the children, but I also feel for the children whose parents rob banks--but the parents should go to prison anyway.

Yes,it would be wise to have a backup plan.
It would also be wise to enter this country the right way.
It would also be wise NOT to have more kids than you can support.
It would also be wise not to disrespect the country you sneak into.
The moral of this story ? BE A LITTLE WISER !!

"Wise" and "in the country illegally" don't go together.

But any parent should provide an emergency plan for their children, certainly.

You would think that they would as people here are getting sick of tired of supporting them anyway.
