You are! Duh!! How in the hell can that be good for a 14 year old, you are pretty much having sex with a child!! Don't you think it would be more appropriate to be with someone your own age? You say only 4 years, but 4 years is a lot when you are working with ages as young as yours and his!

Technically it's not illegal, especially since he consents, but I suggest you stop it. 14 year old don't know what they want enough to make a desicion like that. And what if you become pregnant? He's not going to have the resources to take care of you or the baby. He's life will be over even before it begins. And this is coming from a 16 year old. His mom wants you to stop seeing him too. I would listen to her. What if something happens between you two and she goes to the cops? They will most likely side with her. Maybe you think you're in love with each other or whatever, but you should stop seeing him and find someone new. Maybe stay friends and than see what happends in 4 years?

Consentualy sex is fine, however when it comes to parents and stuff they think that 14 yr olds and 18 yr olds are too much of a difference and to a degree they are right, technically its statuatory rape to be 18 and sleep with a 14 yr old. Because he is the male and you female it makes it awkward to think that you want a single man, younger. Its up to the 14 yr old if its ok or not. Take your time and make sure that you know what you want. Take care Heather

Honestly YOU are wrong. at least in MY state of TEXAS. IT is illegal for an adult ( person 18 or over) to sleep with a minor ( person under 18) no matter if he is consiting or not. the parents can get you for staturary rape. it carries a heafty jail term and you will have to register as a sex offender for life. trust me. you dont want that. it can keep you from getting a good job and really ruin your life. if you love the guy then keep it friendly for now. and then when hes of age sleep with him. otherwise mom can throw you in jail. also as a sex offender you will not be able to live near schools, playgrounds. and certain neighborhoods. the state of texas even puts a picture of you and the crime in the newspaper and on the web. so EVERYONE will know. think about it.

You are WRONG! It is only four years, but when someone is under 18 age matters! You are an adult and he is a child. You need to stop and examine the XRAY! His mother is right. Think of how you would feel as a parent. If you were 24 and he was 20 then it would be okay. It's not a matter of four years, it's a matter of adult and child. He is a child and you are an adult.

YOU are! By law, depending on the state the age of consent is usually 16 or 17 and that fact that you are 18 and he is 14 means that you are breaking the law.
