I go to a school in the vincinity of Houston. I like this girl and want to go out with her, but i'm white and she's asian. is this a bad idea?

That is up to you. Sometimes its hard for interacial couples but in my experince I havent had that many problems. I live in the Atlanta and I am white and my bf is Mexican and Korean. Sometimes we have people stare at us and some of my family doesnt agree but I dont care because I love him. When people stare I just give them something to stare at....lol! I say go for it as long as you are willingly to have the possibility of problems. You have to ask yourself if you care what other people think. I dont but maybe you do?

I'm black and I date mostly white men. I've never been the least bit uncomfortable but I've had a couple of guys quit seeing me because it was uncomfortable for them. The guy I'm seeing now is a self proclaimed redneck and he treats me like a queen. His family also treats me extremely well. You have to decide how you feel about it and then it won't matter if anyone else has a problem with it. If she's a good girl, you hold your head up high and be proud that she's on your arm and to hell with anyone else.

My dad is white and my mom Chinese. At first my French family was a bit shocked but only for the beginning.
I'm also dating a Chinese girl without any problems.
You shouldn't let such things bother you. And it isn't written anywere theat white should date white, black with black...
Unless both our family are quite concervative, go for it.

You have to do what makes you happy. Why not go out with her? If you like her, how could it be a bad idea?

I dated black guys and it was never an issue in my life.
There might be a few looks, but the people looked like...."wow look at that great looking couple)
