Should i tell her friend??

To start off to make life simple i'll give these people names-
Girl i like- Melissa
Melissa's best friend- Karen
My friend- Alex

i like Melissa A LOT and a lot of guys like her too. i became good friends with her best friend, Karen, because i've heard its smart to do. a little while ago one of my friends, Alex, asked Karen if she (Karen) liked me... Karen said yes (i dont think she knows that i know). now my dilemma is, should i tell Karen that i like Melissa?? Karen might draw back from me because i like her best friend (Melissa) or she might tell me she likes me (i really don't like her in that way).

oh yea i should add that karen tries to flirt with me online (instant messaging) but i dont really flirt back. i also hear karen talking to one of her friends (not Melissa) about me because i hear my names. i say "did somebody call me??" they just deny it


PLEASE HELP!! should i tell karen i like melissa or not?

im sorry i forgot to tell you that i recently started liking melissa A LOT like the past 3 weeks. before that i used to like her just a little bit but didn't really think much of it. karen used to ask me if i liked melissa when i really didnt before.

as for karen being my friend, she is my normal friend. i didn't really use her as an instrument. i like her personality and everything. she just happened to be best friends with melissa thats why i tried becoming closer to her.

Well, If you really don't want Karen as anything more then a friend. Then make your feelings known only if she brings up the subject about you and her. As for you liking Melissa, give Karen subtle hints and don't let her know outright.

If you really like Melissa, you should tell Karen about it. Be very open with ur feelings for Melissa when u talk to Karen and do it when Melissa is around.
Dont tell Karen that u are not interested in her 'cause after learning that u like Melissa she might refuse point blank! Just be casual when u talk about Melissa to her.

Karen might be heart broken for sometime but i am sure she is get on with life..

well you're making a good move not flirting with karen back, this guy my friend liked didn't have feelings for her but he flirted with her but when she found out he had no feelings all along, she was hurt because he acted like he did. If you want to go out with Melissa, I think if you talk to Karen first she'll understand because she'll want the best for her best friend. But if Melissa is good friends with Karen, Karen's told her already that she likes you, so you have to be careful. I hope that made any sense at ALL. I was trying to help... lol. Good luck!!

well, tell karen that you heard through the grapevine that she liked you. then tell her that you just want to keep it friends. after it settles down for a week or two tell melissa, not karen, that you like her and see how that goes. getting to know a girls friends will get you noticed, but if what happened happens, well then you might as well be in the **** hole because once one doesnt like you, the other one wont either. so just handle it carefully and next time, go after the girl and meet her friends along too.

yes tell her because you only became her best friend so that you can use her as an instrument to help you get melissa, don't stop now, while your game is good. You may not get another chance if you ruin your relationship eventually.

Ahhhhhhhhhh. I know it is just so so so so so hard to do it but better do it sooner than later. tell her that u don't like her that way. U don't have to tell her exactly whom u like if u don't feel like it right now. but tell her, because later on u will be in a situation that u don't want to be. or u will be forced to do something u don't want to do.. and the feeling of being with some one out of guilt is even worse. If u are not giving her the wrong impression, i mean no flirting or anything, and she keeps thinking there is a chance that is bad however it is not u'r fault. to make it easier for u'r own sanity and sake tell her. if u don't tell her now she will be keeping her hopes up and that won't do any good to any of u. not only u won't get the girl u want, but also u have misled someone else. Believe me u don't want to be in that situation. and don't think oh she will get it. because some people won't get it unless u tell them u don't like them that way. just be honest. if she gets hurt now the damage is less.
