I am a boy with long hair... do boys get layers or is it "gay"? Sorry I am not that good with hair. If so, what type of layers would you recommend me?

Blended layers are the best. It thins out without leaving it chunky, chop, chopped...my son has curly hair. He lets it get below his ears and I blend the layers to let the curls come out more naturally. His older brother has thick straight hair. He went through a phase of wishing he were a music rock star letting it get down to his neck...lil lower maybe. I put blended layers in it as well. He was able to use some hair "glue" & make it do all sorts of cool stuff. He dyed it blue one summer. It was a really nice royal blue. Then he grew out of that and cut it short, cut it even shorter once he graduated H.S. ending with a buzz compliments of the USAF. lol Now he keeps it SHORT. My 16 yr old likes it to his ear lobe. Definately nicer look with blended layers. The chopped look was nice in the 80's...leave 'em there!
My boys are NOT gay! There are many straight guys with the long hair. You'll find MORE gay men with SHORT preppy hair cuts than long. Do what makes YOU feel comfortable.

if your hair is long enough to get actual layers.. then cut it.
but if you do end up getting them do not get chunky ones.

i wouldn't call them layers.........more lika shag cut roght?ususally guyz get choppy "layers" or shags!!!!!!!!
