Will this make me more prone to sinning? Will this make me more apt to commit a sin knowing that I will be forgiven if I ask afterward? Please be serious. I know that if I commit a sin, as long as it isn't blasphemy, I will be forgiven. PLEASE HELP ME with this. I'm struggling.

Shari..

There are many things that people are taught as "sins." Many of them are normal human things... and not "sinful." Please talk to a real person if you cannot post it here... there is no reason for you to struggle... you seem like a nice young lady.

Sorry, but "blasphemy" is not that big a deal and you won't go to hell. Instead of looking at sin... look at right, wrong, and if you're not sure... talk to a teacher or other trusted and intelligent person for guidance.

True repentance for a sin is never doing that sin again. The lord will not forgive someone of a sin that you commit over and over again because you truly haven't repented of that sin. So if you commit a sin knowing you will be forgiven of it from the lord I think you are fooling your self. Yes later when you understand his word and will and feel true Godly sorrow for doing what you did and vow to never do it again then you may be forgiven of that sin at some point. However a sin against the Holy Ghost no matter how bad you feel and how much Godly sorrow you feel you will never get to be with God and will spend eternity unclean with that sin. The mistake a lot of people make is that you risk spending eternity unclean by sinning thinking you will be forgiven of a sin when you may never feel enough Godly sorrow for the Lord to forgive you.

Blasphemy against the Spirit means not acknowledging Him in your life. This God will not forgive.
All other things He will forgive
However, this is not a license tio sin
Remember that so long as you are in this world, you represent the God you declare to believe in

You are very wrong!

While sin against the Holy Spirit immediately becomes the unforgivable sin. Several other types of sin also become unforgivable! ( If you want a definition on what sinning against HS consist of please contact me.)

If you read the scriptures included in the box, you'll see that having no faith also becomes unforgivable.

Also, the practice of sin - after God judges that a person is guilty of practicing sin - becomes unforgivable. This practice of sin may be of theft, adultery, or any other serious sin.

Christianity is not a license to sin.
"If any man be in Christ he is a new creation old things are passed away. behold ,All things are become new." Your attitude and desires should change. You will sin, but you can be forgive if you acknowledge that sin. Then the next part is harder. When you repent you make a change in how you do things. Desire will be part of you--how you respond to that desire is what makes you a true christian. Be of good courage--hang in there..

We can, through Jesus, be forgiven of sin,if we repent(change our mind about whatever sin) and do not continue in the sin.

Then if we confess our sin, he his just and willing to forgive us our sins.

One who has commited Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit would not come to a place of repentence in their heart.

God knows you better than you know yourself. If you sin knowingly what makes you so sure of forgiveness? What of the punishment? Do you not know that God knows what you are thinking, nothing is hidden from God. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit if unforgivable.

There is definitely a difference between committing a sin, as we all do, and a lifestyle of sin. One is an 'in your face' deliberate rebellious lifestyle and the other is the stupid stuff we do, sometimes over and over again. If you get into a lifestyle of sinning, sooner or later, you will stop asking God through His Son Jesus, to forgive you, because you will not care about Him. You get into that "cares of the world" mentality the Bible talks about. As God's Word says in Romans 7:15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate, I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who does it, but it is sin living in me. In other words if you PLAN your sinning you are on dangerous ground, but if it just happens, it's, as the Bible says, just our weak flesh (mind). How do we get strong enough to nip the sinning in the bud, read Gods Word. The Word works on our mind just like soap works on our bodies, both clean the filth.
And besides, whenever we REALLY seek His forgiveness He will forgive us. He will!!! He will!!!! He will!!!
His Word says so.

If you study baptism, you will find that John the baptist baptized with water, but Jesus baptizes us with the Holy Spirit. Those who have faith in Jesus Christ are sons of God and those who are sons of God receive the gift (baptism) of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit seals you unto the day of redemption. People who reject Christ, the sufficiency of Christ to save you, or reject the Holy Spirit thus commit the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit of God and then have no hope for forgiveness of sins. They in essence reject the baptism of the Holy Spirit and are not sealed unto the day of redemption (resurrection). I hope this helps.

Blesphemy against the Holy Spirit can be due to some psychological problem, just to annoy the audience rather than correcting others perception. If someone listens to such remarks, he should overlook the offender as being lacking in common sense and communal morality.
