Atheism isn't dangerous, but religions are created by people who sought to demonize such things in order to keep its adherents from straying.
There are people who believe that Atheism is dangerous because of the claims that many dictators were Atheist, but that isn't true. Hitler for example was a believer in the Christian god. The Soviet Union may have been an Atheistic regime, but the people that it killed were not killed in the name of Atheism. They were killed for the same reason that religion kills. Authoritarianism. Authoritarianism is the biggest killer in all of history, its two main forms are Governmental and Religious. Note that the more Authoritarian a government or religion is the more deadly it is.
So Atheism is a red herring for the problems of society. Atheism isn't the problem, it's the control wielded over the people by Authoritarian organizations that is dangerous.

Christians believe atheism is dangerous because they are to wrapped up in their religion. Most of them are to afraid to question their religion and accept other points of views. Some are afraid of losing the power that religion has over the minds of a great number of Christians in the world. Atheism questions everything they've been taught to believe and can jeopardize their religion.

Atheism is only dangerous to the atheist since in his present state he has no access to salvation through Christ!
Actually, atheism and evolution serve as God's tools in weeding out the unworthy. Quite a bit more about that but it will only start a controversy.

Psalms 14:1 and 53:1
"It's a fool who says in his heart that there is no God."
Isaiah 32:6
"For a fool speaks nonsense, and his heart inclines toward wickedness:To practice ungodliness and to speak error against the Lord, to keep the hungry person unsatisfied and to withhold drink from the thirsty."
If you are wondering about the hungry/thirsty comment, it is a statement that means they try to keep people away from religion and God who may need Him. They are doing an evil thing, as is clearly seen on YA. This is the wickedness that their heart seems inclined to do.
Also, for those who think this is unloving and judging... the judgement is from God's Word. Christians are called to expose known sin, and to help others to see the error of their ways. Like God, we do not wish any to perish. This is an act of love, not hatred. We know that many will not heed the warning, but if even one reconsiders and repents, then it is worth our "standing in the gap" between them and God.

Simple answer, they don't want their children influenced by it. Their children believe in what the parents believe, no ifs, ands or buts about it.
One (non)religion is just as deluded as the next, though. Violently proclaiming that no god exists is just as pointless as violently proclaiming that a god does exist. Nobody wins.
Just be mature and ignore each other. If you openly lash out at (non)believers for what they believe in, you're only showing how much intelligence you really have - the intelligence of a deck chair.

I dont think that christians believe that atheism is dangerous in a physical type. I think that they believe its dangerous because you are not living "God like" and therefore endangering your eternal life in heaven.

Theoretically it is not dangerous to most, but lets face the facts half of the atheists already wish we were gone, so if most were atheists then we could get in trouble for accepting religion, and that would not be good for either side...

No I don't fear that. Would your fear this?
Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.
But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.
If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.
The Good Person Test.
How will you do? Pass or fail?
Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?
Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?
Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?
Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?
See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?
If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.
Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.
The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.
