It could be a lot of things, but as a nurse, you already know that you should see your OB-GYN about this ... not us.... I don't think many of us out here in Answer land are nurses, OB or otherwise, or doctors.

I had my tubes tied 22 years ago and so far so good. I am 49 and my Dr. still has me at pre-menapausal so I hope you are not feeling it just yet at 32, though my only complaints are sweats. I don't even have cycles anymore, at least a couple of years now. If you had a confident Dr., I'm sure your tubes are still tied hon. W/ 3 kids, sounds like your pretty fertile and 4 would be on the way if your surgery did not work.

Could be just the worrying about it that is making you feel like you are. The mind can be a powerful thing. Try to relax, take the pregnacy test and if it comes back negative breathe. You might just be stressing out about the possibility of being so and therefore the body is feeling like it. Honestly I don't know if there is a sure fire way to determine if they are tied, could an ultra sound picture show that clearly enough? Ask a tech who specializes in that area and see what they have to say.

As women our cycles change as we age. Just as when we get older our metabolism changes.
You may want to see your doctor to get on a low dose of birth control. Many times this helps with the systems your getting of pregnancy and it will control your ovulation.
It is unlikely you started menopause. You could check with a simple blood test but I see it as unwarranted.
When your at the doctor they will decide if you need your ovaries tested. They will ask if yours were just tied or tied and cauterized.
Have you thought maybe being close to your new BF that your body is just longing for a child. Just a thought. Because just normal maternal hormones cause havic.
Good luck and relax. A shoter period is a nice thing about age.

Hello there.. I used to work for an OB and there is no guarentee on the tubal.. you can still get pregnant even though it is a slight chance. Your best bet to protect yourself is the old fashioned way. Condoms or opt for an IUD. No birth control method is 100% unless you have a hysterectomy. Hope i could help

If the pregnancy tests have been negative, I doubt you're pregnant. At 32 menopause is unlikely, but there are many other potential causes for hormonal imbalances, so the best thing is to get to your Ob/Gyn.
As for preventing future pregnancies, the IUD is one of mankind's greatest inventions. One day of discomfort for 5 worry-free years.

There is a test where they inject a dye into your uterus that can be seen on ultrasound/x-ray to see if your tubes are blocked.
If you think you are pregnant take a test, because the risk of tubal pregnancy is very high with your tubes tied.

You can't really "make sure", per say, but you definitely are at a somewhat higher risk for a tubal or ectopic pregnancy, so a visit to the doctor would be a VERY good idea.

I'd take a pregnancy test. Sometimes tubals don't work.
