On my credit report they have the same deliquent credit card listed three times. Once by Discover card for $6000 (the actual amount of the charges) and two from 2 different collection companies that have the total listed at $11000 (I'm presuming thats the 6K plus interest) Not to get into a long story, but these were debts incurred by a loser boyfriend in my name. So, My question is....will disputing the triplicate entryies and getting them removed from my report help with my FICO score?

The original creditor and ONE collection agency can legally report. Two collection agencies cannot report for the same debt.
If the original creditor and a collection agency is reporting, the original creditor must show a zero balance.

If your boyfriend used your card without your knowledge, you would need to file a police report on him for ID theft. Just disputing with the credit reporting agencies claiming ID theft without the police report will probably get you no where.

Send both collection agencies debt validation letters, send the letters certified mail return receipt. When you get the green card back file disputes with the credit reporting agencies. If both collection agencies verify, file disputes with the BBB, FTC, your states AG and the AG in the states where the collection agencies are located.
