Of course most people don't admit their ignorance. But ignorance is very often confused with stupidity. Two very different things really. Ignorant means that a person does not know something, because they never learned it or simply were not taught it. All people are ignorant to some degree.
In this forum I bypass questions on topics that I am ignorant about. In that way I guess I acknowledge my ignorance of certain subjects.

Admitting a person's ignorance is one thing but admitting to being stupid is another. Stupid as it relates to Y/A is like trying to answer questions that you already know you don't have a clue about. Stating something as a fact when you have no idea whether it is or not.

Some people do not but for me, I'm so crazy that I realize that I'm not ignorant at all because I was brought up and taught what I know now. Some people are just intelligientlly stupid. I know what I know because of what I know.
