the artist gave me a piece of paper of things i should do and it says there that i cannot have sex within the first 6 weeks. why is that? what will happen if you did have sex? i did your advise asap...thank you

I had sex and nothing happened just do not cause friction on it and you will be fine. (I guess it could make sex very interesting)

This CANT be a serious question? OK, I'll play along just for the sh*ts and giggles.... Why yes, you shouldnt have sex for atleast 10 weeks after getting your ink done, the bodily fluids you get from your partner might leak out of the scabs on your tatt, then you would have *** all over your arm, leg, etc where ever you got it done. This would really be unsanitary, and totally gross. Just say NO and keep your pants on.

If I couldn't have sex for six weeks, um... no, I won't go there.
So yeah, like everyone else says: barring a tat in the genital region, don't worry. If it's somewhere else that's likely to see friction, be aware and keep it away from said friction & you'll be fine. Worst case is wait until the peeling is done. The skin will still be sensitive, which may dissuade you from too much contact in the region.

That is a new one for me. I have never heard of that before. I had sex the same night I got my last tattoo and so far I am ok.

Did you get your tatt on a spot that can be stretched if in weird positions? if not go wild!
I guess if you got your hooch inked than you dont want to have sex for a few weeks to avoid infection but than you'd also want to only use tampons and clean properly...
otherwise your ink artist is on drugs and should lay off them.

Dear god, no. Have sex as much as you like, just don't get any bodily fluids on your tattoo.
I have many tattoos and have never heard of such a thing. I'm also in perfect health.

No, I have never heard of such a thing, unless your tattoo is on or near your unmentionables. When you get a piercing done on your unmentionables or on your tongue, you aren't supposed to have sex for six weeks or in the case of your tongue, give oral sex.

only if the tattoo is in your genital region would i say this is true...
and if it is on your back or something and your partner i on top... the rubbing on your back might cause irritation, ust change positions.
that sheet must have been for a genital piercing because i know you can't have sex for 6 weeks after those.

You can have sex for sure,you just have to make sure that no body fluids get on the tattoo because then it will be really prone to infection.
