As far as I know it is reserved for two things if your bank account goes south and you don't pay it off and it gets closed or if you write a bad check. Now I don't think it could go to chex systems if you stop payment on it. You didn't not have money for it, you stopped payment. I had one check that I stopped payment on and the person tried to cash it at a check cashing place, they came after me until I told them that it was stamped stop payment on it. They then stopped trying to collect on it and didn't send it to any other bill collector, nor was it on chex system. Now I do have a bad check and that is on Chex Systems. But they are two seperate issies.

Probably.

If you do not have a good reason for stopping payment, being added to the ChexSystem may be the least of your worries.
