Does it work? I have long, wavy hair that is very thick. It's not ultra hard to straighten, but it's so thick that it gets hard to straighten. Will this straightener work for me? If not, could anyone recommend something that's not really expensive as I have a budget as a college student?

Yeah! I actually have one. How much did you pay for it, because a few monthes ago at Big Lots, they had them for an incredibly low price of $20. Thats where I picked mine up at, and on the internet they go for over $100. As far as the actual straightener, it is pretty good. If you've ever used a CHI though, there is no comparison. Online, they are the same price. I'd definitely recommend the CHI, but if you can't afford about $100, then I think the next best is the Wigo Jade flat iron.
Once you've used a CHI though, you will have a hard time liking any other flat iron.
Thats what I use now.
My advice..If the Wigo is cheap enough, then buy it. If you're looking at one over $50, then invest in the CHI!
