Thoughts? I (buddhist) seem to find myself 'in league' with atheists and vice versa.

Buddhist are so....non-evangelical. And non-judgemental. I've never had a Buddhist threaten me with eternal hell. I rather like Buddhists!

It's probably because both Buddhists and Atheists have something in common neither believes in a higher power. It's also because Buddhists don't go around judging anybody else for their lack of religion. I get along with Buddhists as well.

Buddhists and atheists seem to have a common ground in their goal to understand reality as it is, rather than as we would wish it to be. I'm agnostic, and my experience with Buddhists has always been that they strive to treat everyone, regardless of their beliefs, with kindness and compassion.

I think it's because both Buddhists and Atheists are non-theistic. Buddhists seem to have a spiritual outlook, but they don't have a God.

1. You guys don't threaten us with damnation at every opportunity.
2. You don't antagonize us with half-baked speculation based on fairy-tales.
3. We kinda agree on a lot of things regarding religion.
To be honest with you, everybody should get along with Buddhists. I know that doesn't happen, but what can you do?

We share freedom from and a willingness to challenge dogma. Dogma, doctrine, saves nobody, cannot achieve enlightenment, cannot even cure a common cold.
