Anyways, how come some of the atheists here I see are no fun? They take things literally. Like that time when I asked "What if God had a MySpace?", a handful of atheists kept saying "God is imaginary, there is no God", blah blah blah, we already know your opinion, you're an atheist.

Anyways, why do some atheists take things literally?
And, is it the same as those people who take the Bible literally?

I wouldn't say that atheists take things literally. I would just say that they are expressing their honest opinion. The reason many answer questions the way they do is because they are constantly being attacked when they either ask or answer questions.

It's far different from those who take the bible literally.

Because some of them are ex-theists and old attitudes may be slow to wear off. I mean so many theists seem to take everything VERY literal and serious... Becoming a non believer won't necessarily just wipe that away.
