there's no such element. A telephone cable is made up of the two 4 wires or 4 pairs based which form of cable you utilize. purely 2 wires(pink and green) are used for a million line, or a million pair while you're using 4 pair cat5 line(white and white blue). A cable jack is made up of coaxial cable that's barely one piece of copper interior the cable, the place the telephone line demands 2 copper wires.

you only need 2 wires if you have only one phone line.. red and green (is standard) if you have 2 lines then line 2 is yellow and black (standard) this may not be the way that your line is connected.. I have never seen telecom wire with those colors.. most old telecom wire is red, green, yellow, and black.. newer telecom wire is blue, blue/white (line 1), orange, orange/white (line 2), green, green/white (line 3) brown, brown/white (line 4) slate, slate/white (gray, line 5), and red, blue/red (line 6)

EDIT: upon looking at the question again... blue and blue/white should be the line comming from outside for line one, they connect to the green and red.. orange white should be line 2 comming from outside, and connect to yellow and black.. (i thought you were stating all the wires were inside one cable)
