How many calories should you be taking in if you are breastfeeding and trying to diet?

It probably depends on your current weight, but Weight Watchers has a plan for this. It's on their points system.

You shouldn't diet when you're breastfeeding. Your baby needs you to eat a nutritious diet, so that you make nutritious milk.

You need to increase your daily calorie intake by one PB&J sandwich, though. Most people increase too much.

You should only lose ONE pound a week if you are breastfeeding.
