i asked my boyfriend to the dance but he didnt ask me to the dance is that a problem?

I say it depends, maybe if your boyfriend was being distant it might be. But most guys I've known aren't really interested in school dances in the first place, they just aren't important to them.
I wouldn't be too worried. And I suppose you could always just ask him why he didn't ask you to the dance. But if you do, be cool about it, you don't wanna sound like a ***** or anything..

Huh? What did he say when you asked? You know what? Scratch that... Why do you care? Its just a dance? Wait till, you get married and have 4 kids to worry about. Then you'll wish you had a dance to go to, with ANYONE.

Yes. When you asked your boyfriend to the dance, what did he say. You may want to ask him again and see what he says. If he won't answer you he does not want to go.

You asked him to go to the dance instead of him asking you. Big deal. At least the question was asked, and as long as he didn't say "no", then have fun.

If you are really boyfriend/girlfriend, then he would have just assumed you were going to the dance together.
