me and my friend w/ benefit, mike, were talking about our sex lives and how we both needed it. I told him i was gettin some next weekend. I told him if he doesnt get some soon i might have to help him out. he all of a sudden came out and said are u goin to take one for the team. what does that mean are u goin to take one for the team?

It's a joke. 'Taking one for the team' is a sarcastic expression used for something that involves doing something that you wouldn't normally do, or would do with some sacrifice. Of course, it's obvious that you enjoy having sex with him, so that expression is tongue-in-cheek.
