Why do they want to wear that all the time? And their obsession with vampires. I just couldn't hang with anything like that. But Goths are good people I still have some Goth friends some even come over to my way of thinking occasionally. I have invited some of them to the Annual Anti Gravity Church outing Anti Gravity day. Do you think that was wise? Goths are almost a religion itself don't you thank?

Finding a true path takes time. It took me 16 years to find my path. Your symbol, Betty Boop, represents innovation and adaptability. Explore and change if you want to find contentment. Look for balance in your life too.

Red is a fine color for an explorer. Green is the color of adaptability. Be careful as you tend to trust people too readily.

If your "good friends" are REALLY your friends, they will not discourage you from wearing any thing you want!

Be your own person! You can do any thing you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone or land you in jail. Wearing what YOU want, especially your favorite color is up to YOU, not wannabe vampires.

A religion has a creed and doctrine. In other words "rules to follow" which include WHAT you should believe. Personally I choose to make my own mind about what is truth or what is a lot of baloney. The Goth style is just that: a style, a look, a fad that people who THINK they are being different have accepted. It definitely does not meet the criteria for being a religion, although I know what you mean.

In the process, they've ended up in "uniforms." So they all look alike, right?

Stand up for yourself and be different from everybody by wearing what YOU want. If you are headed toward finding your own style, and find something that would fit, like red, wear it! It will send messages out that you aren't bound by a particular "uniform" and that you have the inner strength to be different!

They'll get used to seeing you with red on and perhaps that will encourage others to admit they feel the same way. You may start a new trend! How cool is that?????

One thing, forgive my ignorance, but what is an "Anti-gravity" Day?

There are many types of goths, as I see it. Some are in it to have a group to fit in, some like all that vampire stuff others like the music and still others like the goth "attitude" (or, of course, a mix of all this). But my favorites are those who like to revive the aestethics of romanticism. I find those are mostly artistic, creative and thoughtfull people. They wear beautiful (but mostly quite complicated) attire and they are sure not in to "conform" with anyone.
I think you shouldn't hear on what your goth-"friends" tell ya and simpy find your own definiton. What did you find appealing with goths? If you can answer this question, you will grow beyond such dull classifications and reinvent yourself.

Goth is a sub-culture, as is the rave crowd and the hippies of the '60's, and others. While many of them reject contemporary religion, that doesn't mean that they are a religion. Masonry isn't a religion. Neither are many of the fraternal organizations out there. It's the same with the Goth culture.

Wear what you will. This is a true show of individuality among 'individuals'. Perhaps others are fed up with the monochromatic wardrobe, and this could start a 'subculture' within the Goth 'subculture'.

As for the invitation... such things are only known once it is too late.

No it is not a religion. You can't really say that you're goth if you say they are dreary and that you are sad when you see black. That is all of "goth" culture. Black. Everyone thinks they are goth or emo and really they aren't. Get a life and stop chasing after what everyone else thinks is cool.

I think it was wise to invite the Goths, they could use a lift. That all black wardrobe makes them look far to grave.
