HI,
My Endrochronologist will not run a antibody thyroid test because she said she ran one two years ago and it was normal.
Can the results change since then . . especially since I am hyporthyroid and also have other autoimmune diseases like Pernicious anemia and Sjrogens?

Thank you,
Sue

Absolutely it can change...mine tested negative 6 months before my positive result. Plus, I've heard that once you get one autoimmune disease you will get others. See a new endo.

For some reason if they run it once and its negative they don't run it again. However, I believe there are two different antibody tests. Find out which one you had and ask for the other. Your doctor can't deny you then. Basically though whether you have high antibodies or not, the treatment is the same......thyrod hormone. If you aren't feeling well with your current course of treatment, get a free t4 and free t3 to see if one of these hormones are low or low in range.

If you have an autoimmune disease then you should have a bunch of blood test done every three months or so. They can mess with you in unexpected ways, and your liver os working over time from all of your drug treatments.
