This is where you begin to be an adult and not a child anymore..and it isnt always fun. If you really like this guy and he is good to you and good for you then stick with it. If any of these people really care for you as friends, true friends, then they will try to at least like him and support you. Dont let your friends push you into loosing the best thing you have....your own right to choose and your self importance. Real friends will tell you the truth yes, but they also support you through good and bad. If he turns out to be a dud , then your friends should be there for you throughout that too. Be true to yourself and it will be good. If they cannot except him then it might just be time you outgrew them and moved on to new, more grown-up friends.

DONT DUMP HIM! Don't let other people get into your relationship. I'm not sure of you age or what's going on in your life, but my friends had reasons they didn't like my boyfriend too. I listened to them and considered their perspective, but when it came down to it I knew him better then any of them. It was/is the best thing that has ever happened to me as well. If they are your TRUE friends they will support and love you. Mine asked me to choose between my bf or them (I was 21 at the time). I refused to choose because that's childish. I no longer speak to those "friends". I have been with my bf for almost 2 years and we've been talking about marriage! : ) Trust your heart and if need be, learn from mistakes. Good luck!

No do not dump him if he is a good guy and you like eachother you should not let any one get in the way of that if he really is the best thing to happen to you in a long time you wont let him go because you never know what may happen. Eventually his voice will depen and people wont bug you about that but if you lose a good guy youll never forgive yourself

It sounds like your good friend Lilly is jealous of you. Tell her that that is mean and you really like him. Ask them if they feel they are perfect. You enjoy this guy. and tell your friends to grow up and stop being so darn shallow and mean. And you say they are (popular ppls) but the strongest sure to succeed type of people are the ones that dont show ignorance and insensitivity like they do and judge not others. So the popular people are not very nice people. Set yourself apart from this unbelievably mean actions and words.

If you are happy and so is he then nothing should change.
Only the un-real friends are the ones who put you down when you are happy. Believe me I dumped a guy once because my friends made fun of him. I was surprised to find since then all of them have asked him out. Unless you know that there is something truely wrong with the guy don't break off the relationship. There is nothing wrong with the both of you being happy.
~Hope this Helps~ =)

Listen Babe, you're saying this is the best thing that's happened to you in a long while, so then why would you care a hoot what your so called friends say, sometimes people just pick on something to have a dig at & the more you show you're bothered about their comments, the more they'll continue having stuff to say....give up bothering & being affected by them & they'll soon move on to their next victim......

"To thine own heart be true..." and so forth. If your 'friends" don't support your choice of who to datye, can you really say they are friends? Maybe Lilly is jealous that you are spending less time with her. He sounds like a sensitive guy and as long as he is kind towards you, hopefully onc in a while you both can go out with your friends and they can get used to each other. If he is good for you...hang in there!

Love is Love is Love is Love is Love, it's not what your friends THINK it is. only YOU know which boy is good for you, and if you like a boy with a high-pitched voice than so be it. You should just ignore the people who tease you about him. They don't know, they're being immature. It's fun to them to make people miserable or feel ashamed for their happiness. You should ignore them. and they won't "kill" you.

screw everyone else, if you're happy that's all tht matters. maybe they're just jealous cuz you got the cute 'anti-social' guy. if they can't appreciate your choice then you owe nothing to them anyways. this guy is special, dont let a bunch of "popular" people get in your way. what is popular anyway? stupid. it doesn't matter what they think, it matters what you think because you're obviously popular with him, right? that's all that matters. forget the rest of them.
