You can import all the clips you want into movie maker and edit them together. Then you should export it as wmv file which is playable by Window Media player.

Select the beginner mode, go to the table of content (on the top right side of the window) and select the Editing lessons. You should be able to edit in less than 3-4 hours by reading these lessons.
