I think that is inappropriate language and terminology to be using toward a pre-teen child. You wouldn't say that to a 5 yr old, what make it ok to say it to a 14yr old. Age shouldn't make a difference, language needs to be respectful of basic human dignity.

He probably doesn't mean anything. My husband tells our son all the time that he's going to have a hard time walking around with his foot up his *$$. He never lays a hand on him.

Well, there is a big difference between saying something and actually doing it. If there is abuse in the house and you know of it, then tell your mom. If its just talk, which alot of parents do, then dont stir a pot that dosnt need stirring

I think that he probably does hit her. And if he doesn't then he probably verbally abuses her. He needs anger management. He might even have a drug or alcohol problem.

It might be best to inform child services.
