Well, if you're talking about the first season, it actually ends with Shin giving up his title and allowing his elder sister Hyae Myeong ascend the throne. Shin and Chae-kyeong then get married in a Christian church in Macau.

There is also possibilities that Chae-kyeong is pregnant with Shin's baby because in the end credits, a slideshow is shown with Shin and Chae-kyeong with a baby girl.
