Keep a good watch on your friend. The way this turns out will tell you what kind of a friend she is. For example. when me and my BFF liked the same guy... well she went out with him. And now me and her... we're enemies. That tought me she was a backstabber. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. She was so important to me and I lost her over a guy. Not worth it. And in the end he never had feelings for her all along. Don't let either of you get your hearts broken =( I hope you resolve this. Remember, it's a Chick Flick not a Flick Chick! Chicks before Flicks!
In other words friendship is more important than a relationship. Don't get your hopes too high about having a really good relationship with him unless you want to betray your friend. Now you have someone to go on and on about his amazingness with! If you're true friends, you'll stay strong [: I hope I helped you!

Go for 'im. Life's just a big competition. If you don't go for the guy, your friend will. If you succeed in getting with that guy, and if she's truly your friend, she'll be happy for you. If she threatens "If u have him I won't be ur friend n e more!!1", she's not a true friend and doesn't deserve your time.
Just go for it and see what happens.
