im 13 and my dad thanks i to young to date he says i have to wait tell im 16 how old do u people think i should be to be able to date plzz... help

hello. i'm 14 and still not dating. nvr brought it up with my parents, but i dont think age matters. truthfully i think it matters on your matureity level. also you should think about if its someone you could marrry later on in life.

I think your dad is right.. i mean no offense to you but i was in your situtation more than once. Yes 13 is a bit to young he probably just wants you to have fun and have friends ya know. Also you got off pretty lucky my mom told me yea i can date when i am 16 haha when i got 16 she told me i wasnt allowed to date until after i got married, than i asked her arent you supposed to date than get married and she said yea but not for you as long as your under 18 your not dating and i didnt have my first date until i was 18 so yea you should listen to your dad its always better that way

I agree with your dad. My daughter just turned 14 and she is not allowed to date until she is 16 or 17. She would have to do good in school and have a part-time job and be responsible. Don't rush in to dating you will have plenty of time for that after you accomplish a good education. Good Luck!

Listen to your father, he is right and knows what's best for you. Sorry, 13 is way to young to be dating.
