I have been getting joint pain since I was 22 and every time it rains I can feel it for about 4 days before. My joints just hurt. Every time we get a cold snap, I feel it. My joints hurt and get stiff and ache. My mom is the same way. Is aspirin the drug of choice for this? I don't want a perscription that causes serious side effects because it is not severe enough for that. Any infor you can give me is appreciated.

You cannot self diagnose. Just because your joints hurt before it rains does not mean you have arthirits of any kind. Arthritis usually involves joint pain and some swelling aka inflammation of the joint in addition to the pain. If you think you have it you should see the doc though for a diagnosis so this info gets put into your chart. The drug of choice for joint pains is either aspirin, ibuprofen or naproxen all of which are available over the counter.

Imagine for a moment your arthritis completely vanishing right now.

If, in a moment, your pain and stiffness melted away. And your joints all of a sudden functioned like a well-oiled machine.

Like a magic wand was waived, you'd be able to jump up from your chair and run around the room like a kid.

And imagine that you'd never have to suffer as much as a pinch of arthritis stiffness or pain ever again.

I know this sounds impossible right now, but bear with me, because sometimes miracles happen.

It was a gift from a woman on the other side of the world. From the kindness of her heart, she took pity on my suffering and taught me how to completely reverse my arthritis.

Today, I want to do the same for you!

No one can diagnose you over answers for the pain you are feeling. There are different kinds of arthritis, as well as countless other inflammatory conditions that can cause similar symptoms. Rheumatoid arthritis can be serious as the joints deteriorate. You didn't say if you had any swelling with it. I would discuss it with your doctor on your next visit.

Many doctors prefer Ibuprofen for arthritis or inflammation conditions (unless it's rheumatoid and then more than pain medication is needed to stop progression of the disease) Ibuprofen is in alieve, advil, motrin, etc.

In the long run though it's worth discussing with your doctor.

Don't know how long you've had these problems but it's time you saw a doctor. Don't rely on the answers here.
