its not funny because it the truth. a centipede is called this because of the prefix centi- meaning 100. a better play or pun on the words is required for this joke to produce more of a funny response.

um....well...maybe because your jokes lack surrealism. Usually when someone tells a joke, they add small unnoticeable facts in and turn it into something humorous.
It can be funny and true at the same time and that's how you'll know when you've got a good joking spree.
I'm not a joker per say but i do observe other people's concepts.
