Dont feel bad. Somehow I didnt keep my lent pledge.. Luckily we have a forgiving God. Starting lent over isnt really a good thing because people wont understand why you are still doing lent... I think that God knows our hears our intentions though. I dont intend to start over If you really want to keep your lent pledge apologise to God and keep going with it.

Lent isn't about "giving things up", but about spiritual growth. Probably most people give up something that they like, but it is usually something that they are able to do fairly easily. Can you really grow from that?
Some, instead, dedicate this time to prayer and study. Some fast. Some involve themselves in works of charity. The point is change and growth, not how long you can go without eating candy.

My opinion only: Lent is a manmade sacrifice to God. To my knowledge, there is nothing in the Bible that talks about us giving anything up for a specific number of days. I have to assume that people who honor lent are those that feel that somehow they are emulating Christ because he gave something up for the 40 days prior to his capture.

Try again.
YOu know there are three pillars to lent.
Abstince- our fast, giving up something if we fail we still continue to try to abstain from it.
Prayer- Enhancing your prayer taking it more deeply into you life.
Almsgiving-charity. Doing works of Mercy. Taking on a project of helping at places where you needed, like soup kitchens, humanitarian missions, etc.
We don't have to suceed we just have to try.
