It depends on what you want to do with it. When I want my curls to flow I use Matrix Curl Life. If I want to straighten my hair I use Matrix Sleek.Look (the entire line is fabulous) or I use Back to Basics Bamboo Straight by Graham Webb.

Read the book and visit the site (it has lots of products) below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair. Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt are all that is needed. Then spread conditioner on outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. It is also important to use gel on wet hair and scrunch the hair. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least the website. Good luck!

Well to enhance the curls and make them pretty, Garnier Fructis mousse or curl shaper. There are actually MANY Garnier products for curly hair, my hair is wavy and if I don't have time to straighten it I use one of my million Garnier products and it looks nice!

I have extremely curly hair. I've been lucky enough to have a mother as a beautician. She has always told me use Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo and Conditioner as well as their leave-in treatment. It is fabulous and it leaves your hair tangle-free, shiny and fresh. Redken also has awesome styling products such as Guts. I only use Redken and my hair has never given me a problem.

The absolute best is a product called Curls Up from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, etc. You'll love it!

Do you want to just make your curls 'look good' or do you want to 'straighten' your hair?
I have a permanent, but my hairdresser used something that is good on either natural or 'permed' curls ... it's called Curls Rock ... and it works really, really well. My curls get 'straighter' quickly even though I have a perm, but a tiny bit of Curls Rock and it's 'nice and curly' ... loose and sort of 'wild and windblown' look, which is the way I want it ...

I've tried everything suggested. The only thing that works for me is Joico Ice Whip mousse. :)
