Long as you don't eat too much of it, and arn't diabetic.
If you are, the best thing to do, is make the dough with a sugar subsitsitute. Baskin Robbins some times has an ice cream that they call the flavor :Cookie Dough. So does Jerry and Ben's.

it's ok to snack on it a little, but cookie dough has raw eggs in it which can cause salmonella. Therefore, it is not good to eat cookie dough, or anything else that has raw eggs, in excessive amounts.

People have been eating cookie dough for years and they have been just fine. Just as long as you do not eat the whole bowl a few bites will not hurt you.

Absolutely... We have it on hand at all times and add it to our vanilla ice cream... its fabulous that way...

If you are concerned about the raw eggs in it, simply make some dough with out the eggs in it and eat it. it tastes the same only bakes up differently.
