try using an oil-based solvent like wd40. if you're afraid you will mess up the blinds, you can try using rubbing alcohol, but im not sure if that is safe on wood either. can't you just remove that one blind and replace it?

Get some goo gone from Target or Walmart and scrub it off with paper towels. Then rinse it off with water so it won't smell or be sticky. Always works on normal things. Be sure to read the label though before buying to make sure you can use it on that kind of material. Good luck!

Sensible_man is real. you may ought to strip the white paint earlier you should use a stain. Any stripper you take advantage of may weaken the fibers in the twine used to lead them to open/close, strengthen/decrease.communicate about a job!!! in case you attempt to darken them as they at the prompt are, they are going to easily look dirty. you'd be more beneficial useful off making use of paint instead. once you've a million slat that not in any respect shows you would possibly want to attempt it and note what you imagine of the outcomes, yet i'd lay odds you'll hate it. i think for you. desire you discover some thing that works for you.

IF "Goo Gone" is not strong enough try a product called "OOPS". If you use acetone it will eat any finish on your blinds.
