It very easily could
when you don't get proper rest-- especially for that length of time---the body gets very fatigued and the brain gets somewhat cloudy and the reaction times go down and the cognitive and rationalization processes suffer a major blow !!!
SO
You could possibly have a situation that would call on your very well being or the well being of others into play that you would not be able to cope with either in time or in good judgement --- SO--- that-- believe me --- could have some VERY long term effects !!!!

I don't know about that, but I do know that if you stay up for more than 3 days, you are considered legally insane.

Staying awake for too long causes the body to go crazy... Experiments have shown people to hallucinate, suffer from mild and short-term dementia, and in some rare cases: death.

Probably not. Unless you keep doing it, or you're doing it with the aid of some substance that is itself harmful.
