We have been together for 3 years and he still refuses to get my name tattooed across his butt! I feel that a tattoo is the ultimate sign of commitment, I mean anyone can get married and just get a divorce but try getting a tattoo removed! What should I do? Should I dump him since he wont commit with a tattoo?

whm - maybe I should dump my bf and hook up with you, sounds like I'd at least get to see my name somewhere on someone's body!

Oh yeah... I'd definitely dump him. First thing I do when I meet a woman is get her name tattooed across my butt. I'm out of room now so I'll have to start some other areas!

YEAH BABY!!!

I think you are crazy to expect him to do that! Even if you were friggin ANGELINA JOLIE or something really hot like that, I would not tattoo ANYONES name on myself, except for maybe my kids. But I do have tattoos, so it is not them I am siding against.
Come on now, 3 years is a long enough time to get to know someone, but it sounds to me like you are not finished with your teenage indulgences yet and should reconsider making that kind of demand on another persons body. Would you allow him to tell you that you HAD to get a tattoo and then tell you exactly what and where to put it?

A tattoo? I think that is still as shallow as what you are thinking as a divorce. It doenst mean that having it there will make it right. Tattoo can always be remove but its the acts of love that really counts most.

no affence but I would have to agree it is a bit big to have a tattoo on his but . I mean its going to be there when your old and wrinkly. what if he feels like being just a boyfriend to you for the rest of your life and then something else goes on with another girl and he has your name across his butt.
I would stick to like, being in the relationship . beofre things get out of hand.
not everyone can get married and get divorced. its hard thing to do. especially if you seriously love them. but I suggest just sticking on to a no tattoo . you don't have to listen but still....

No, that's stupid. I am married and still would never put a person's name on my body. Not trying to diss you, but just because he doesn't want your name tattooed on his body doesn't mean he doesn't love you.

on his butt, that's a little extreme. That could be the reason. Ask for another spot and join in. If he still says no, ask why. No reply say goodbye.

Guess I'm old fashioned - if you wanted one for you I would reluctantly understand it was your (lack of good) taste. But anyone who tried to force me to get one would get dumped in two seconds flat.

you r weird! if he doesn't want the tattoo then don't dump him! And just because he doesn't want 2 gt ink poisoning doesn't make him "mean"

yes you probably should, but not for this in and of itself. It sounds like you want something different than what he wants, and that can cause problems later on with bigger things.
